



A Grand Heritage Palace, Shiv Niwas is now a heritage hotel that has been
carefully restored. It is the winner of several awards like 'Heritage
Award for Excellence' in 1997-98 and the National Tourism Award for
the best heritage hotel in 'Heritage Grand' category, awarded by the
Department of Tourism, Government of India, for 1998-99 as well as
2000-01. Shiv Niwas palace has been witness to the arrival of Queen
Elizabeth II and the shooting of the James Bond movie Octopussy.
Managed by the HRH Group of Hotels, Shiv Niwas has 34 rooms and suites
in all. The suites all have private terraces. The hotel has Imperial
Suites with silver coated furniture, glass inlays on the walls and
green coloured decor. Royal Suites also have glass inlay work. Some
of the Royal suites have red decor while the others have blue. The
Terrace Suites have choice of Lake or Mountain View. Nearly all the
rooms in the hotel have chandeliers and all have beautiful Rajput
paintings for eye candy.
Guests at Shiv Niwas have access to all modern amenities, swimming pool, squash courts, Spa, billiards, horse riding, boating and several other recreational facilities.
